As we all know, every story has two sides and in this case there are two stories and they are complete polar opposites.

Ponte die Sospiri, also known as ‘The Bridge of Sighs’ is located in Venice, Northern Italy.

As beautiful as it is, made of white limestone and windows, it passes over the Rio di Palazzo river connecting the New Prison (Prigioni Nuove) to the interrogation rooms of the Doge’s Palace.

Given it’s name by Lord Byron, comes from the suggestion
that the convicts would sigh at their final view of beautiful Venice from the stone windows before their imprisonment.
On the more romantic side, a legend says that a lover’s kiss under the Ponte die Sospiri at sunset, as the bells of St Mark’s Campanile sound, will grant them eternal love and bliss.

A recreation of this bridge in the Venetian Hotel on
the Las Vegas Strip, NV, USA under which
you can catch a ride on a gondola & recreate your lover’s kiss under the bridge and guarantee yourself the life of eternal love and bliss. It’s also not too bad to be surrounded by Italian boutiques, restaurants & works of art.

Definitely worth a visit next time you make that spur of the moment trip to Las Vegas on a whim.
